Presentation of silver trowel

Mrs. Anne Baggott's family from Hampshire purchased a silver trowel down in the south of England. This trowel was used in the consecration of the Lady Chapel in 1889. They were unaware that Mrs. Baggott had past connections with St. John's. She was very surprised that such a piece existed and was determined to return it to St. John's which she did in July 2004 at the Adelphi hotel with the Archdeacon and the then churchwardens.
